Okay, so I'm only on Week 2 of the C25K training, so I'm not actually running the entire time I'm on the treadmill, but I tell you, it's doing great things for my body. I'm waking up in the morning feeling hipbones that have been in hiding for a LONG time, my stomach is less bloated and I am seeing more definition in my legs. I dream of the day when I can run the entire time. I want to become a full-fledged runner. I'm telling you NOTHING clears the mind like a run. Or a half-run, half-walk in my case. :)
I'm just about to head back to the gym here in a bit. First going to take Rachel Getting Married back to the Redbox and then over to the local JoAnn Fabrics/Michael's/AC Moore trilogy to shop for things to finish my bedroom re-do. I'll probably actually work on the projects tomorrow, but I'd like to go ahead and get the stuff today, work out really hard at the gym this afternoon and then just chill tonight with some Thursday night TV. I want to be able to take my time at the gym today. After my running training, I want to get in some time in the weight room and work on toning my arms and abs. Swimsuit season starts early for me- in TEN weeks!
I made some delish pizzas last night for dinner. I went in search of pitas at the grocery store to make traditional WW-favorite Pita Pizzas, but all the pitas were very high in points. I then found these things called "Sandwich Thins". I think they are by Arnold. They look like smooshed down hamburger buns with holes in them ala pizza crust. Both the white and the wheat versions have 5 grams of fiber, making both versions just 1 point. They were 2/$5, so I got one of each. I made a wheat one last night with pesto, 2% mozzarella cheese, turkey pepperoni, black olives and pineapple. It was delish, though I found that I didn't need to use a whole serving of pesto. Not only would it have saved points, but it is potent, so I really didn't need 1/4th of a cup. I'll try 1/8th next time. Tonight I'm making one on the white version with regular pizza sauce and veggies. I missed breakfast this AM in favor of sleeping in until 11am, so I have 7 extra points. I'll probably indulge on some popcorn during TV tonight. A whole back of the Trails End Light (Boy Scout Popcorn) is 5 points.
I got some Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper. Ehhhh. I thought it would be more like Diet Cherry Coke or Diet Cherry Pepsi. It really tastes like Diet Cheerwine, which I am not a huge fan of. Sad to say, I don't think I'll buy it again. I had such high expectations too!
I got roped into working the day shift on Saturday and Sunday by my boss. She is paying me a bonus for both days, so I figure I could use that money for vacation. Ugh, but then I have to work Monday night. I am going to be dog-tired on Tuesday, and I had plans to go visit D and also to see my new hairdresser in D's town (soon to be mine too! six months!! yay!). I hope the weather is nice down there next week. I may try doing some of my C25K training outside, since it's relatively flat there. I have a feeling taking it outside is going to nearly kill me. For some reason, running on the treadmill is nowhere near as hard as running outside. I guess because I control the pace and it's constantly flat. I don't know. But I DO think it will be beneficial to at least do some of this training outside. After all, when I sign up to run a 5K at the end of it all, it will not be a treadmill 5k!
Okay, off to get my day started. I'm debating at coming in under my points target for tonight. Just by maybe 2-3 points. I was over by 2 points last night and I definitely went over my 35 WPA during the weekend. I don't think it will hurt to just stop when I'm full and not force the issue. Then I'll load up on water and hope to see a loss by Saturday morning. Ugh, I'll have to wake up at like 5:30am. WHY did I agree to this???

NOTHING does clear the head like a nice run. I can tell you are a runner inside that body of yours. I hear that girl wanting to come out, bust free and run. It really is amazing and I can compltely attest to the fact that there is nothing quite like running. I look forward to the day when you are running as much as you want to. I will smile for you as well... how fun!!!
