Weekend Wrapup

Well, today is easy. I woke up at nearly 3pm. Can we say "sleep deprived"? Took the dog for a walk, about 30 minutes is what it takes to lap my neighborhood. Checked the mail, and now I'm planning dinner. I'm making Steak Casserole, which is not made of steak at all. It's hamburger, peas, rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of tomato soup and some ritz crackers on top. It's delish and according to the recipe builder, it's 6 points per hefty serving. I usually steam some broccoli and make mashed potatoes or something, but we had baked potatoes for dinner last night so maybe just broccoli and another veggie.

Yesterday was the big football game. I went to NC State University the first time around in college (pre-nursing school). I took my boyfriend, D, out to the game, as he went to school in upstate NY, where everyone fixated on hockey. So he'd never experienced the mega-tailgating and the roars of the crowds that is ACC Football. I was really excited too, as I only went to one game last year as well. We tailgated with a friend of mine who always goes out there with her fiance's friends. They were...........not that friendly. It's weird when you are an outsider in someone's "crew". These people are all diehards and have season tickets and tailgate together every game. It was a little more fun when we were inside and in our seats. I was surprised at the lack of actual homecoming events during halftime. Actually, there was really no mention of homecoming. I guess it was all at the parade and the on-campus events that took place on Friday. Weird. Also, we played Boston College and they have only been in the ACC for a few years, so it's not the same as if we were playing, say, UNC. Anyway, we had a great time, despite the fact that we lost by a touchdown in the last few seconds of the game. D loves watching football, so we still had a good time.

I don't even really rememer what I did Friday. Oh yeah. Woke up late in the afternoon, drove all the way across town to the mall to take a dress back to Ann Taylor and realized when I got there that I didn't bring my wallet. So, that will go back on the to-do list tomorrow. Whoopsie. Also I cleaned up the house a bit and did some laundry and then finally went to pick D up at the airport at midnight.

I think I'm finally all caught up on sleep. Heading out to the grocery store right now and then making a yummy dinner for myself and my honey. I am going to miss him when he goes back home to the beach this week. It's been an AWESOME two weeks. Hopefully also it has been excellent foreshadowing for how we will do when we live together. We briefly talked marriage this weekend which made my stomach do flips. Ha, it all started when I realized I don't own steak knives and jokingly said we could register for some. He took it in stride and then later made a toast to "you wanting to marry me". I'm really not pushing at all. Sure, I'd love to be married and I definitely think he's the guy, but I'm in no rush. I passed that stage when I was about 25, so I'm totally over it now. Ahhh, but this blog is about weightloss. Speaking of which, I WI on Saturday and lost ONE pound. I'm pretty thrilled since I went over my flexers this week. Exercise and tracking points no matter if you are over or not, definitely helps keep you on your toes. My hope for this week as a BIG weight loss. My exercise goal is to work out Sun, Mon, Thurs and Fri at a MINIMUM. Though, I'd love to get at least a little exercise in on the nights I work too, which means getting up in the afternoon and doing it before work. I think that might be a little easier to manage since the dog will be back at the beach this week. I love him, but he takes up a lot of my short time period between waking up and going back to work. So, I'll be glad to have that time back this week as I forge toward a HUGE weightloss this week.
