Yeah, up more than 2 pounds. I think this is a fluke though, as I raced home from the gym to watch American Idol with my boyfriend, and had a whole can of lentil soup for dinner, with not much water afterward, as I was going to bed and didn't want to have to pee all night. I'll begin the water flush today, and then I'll REALLY have to be good when I go to the bar. As in, ONE beer and an ass load of water. I just read the beer cheat sheet on Weight Watchers online, and yeah, I've ALWAYS counted pints of light beer as 2 points, not 3, even though I knew they were probably 3. It's just that Weight Watchers has never been so bold as to assume people actually drink before recently....
The bar I'm meeting my friend at tonight is semi-new, and happens to be just across the street from one of my old apartments here in town. Man if that place had have been there when I lived there....
Anyway, it's pretty cool because they took an old building that I believe was some type of garage/body shop a long time ago. I even think it was empty when I lived across the street about about 6 years ago. They have made the entire front of the building glass, and they used the tiny amount of parking space at the building to make amazing outdoor seating under a large pergola, that overlooks our downtown, which is, even in this economy, growing by the minute. I hear the food is terrible, but I am just in love with the place. I love when something old can be made into something awesome without necessarily tearing it all down and building new. Not to mention, that is a great view of the city (getting better every day) and when I used to take walks in my old neighborhood, I often wished there were something cooler than an empty building by that bridge. It makes me just a little nostalgic and just a little sad to be leaving. There are definitely neighborhoods with old houses that I used to dream of buying. Our "town" is finally turning the way of "city", complete with buses that make the downtown loop now, housing going up in places where they don't have to drive to dine, drink and shop. It's amazing what this place has done in the 11 years it's been since I first set foot on the soil to go to college here. But alas, this is, and always will be my "college town" even though it is also the state capital. It's time for me to move on.
Anyway, I've managed a workout on Monday before work (yay!) and I've tracked and counted EVERY MORSEL! I went to the gym last night and did a little combo of interval running for about 15 minutes (didn't want to push it too much with the shins) and then switched to some high intensity elliptical trainer for another 15 minutes. Today will be a much longer workout. I'll probably do my resistance band DVD prior to going to the gym, where I'll do something similar to yesterday's workout, only longer if my legs can hold out. Also, has anyone out there tried Bosu? There is a class at 9:30 tomorrow morning and I'm always whining about not being able to go try new classes. There is a toning and stretching class directly afterwards, and it looks as if it might roll into one long class. I'd love to try it, but I don't want to look like an idiot. In my younger days, I'd NEVER go to t a new class with unfamiliar equipment, so at least I'm pretty over that part. I'd still like to NOT look like an idiot. Friday will consist of me taking my arse to kickboxing (an old fave) and at the end they focus on abs for about 15 minutes and then a 15 minute stretching session. If for nothing else, I should go to these two classes this week for the 15 minute post-class stretching sessions. I have total ADD when I stretch. I zone out, forget to count, start watching TV in the locker room and forget why I'm even there, etc. Maybe they can teach me some shin stretches too.
This is probably boring for you all, but it helps me to get it on paper. Today's plan includes:
1) Finally taking that Goodwill pile over to the actual Goodwill, instead of letting it continue to live on my bedroom floor.
2) Getting in a long workout. (PRIORITY)
3) Making an appt for my yearly girly doc visit and a physical with my primary care physician.
4) Getting my car washed and stopping by work to pick up a form from HR. Boring, I know.
5) Straightening up my house.
Tonight I'm making Taco Salad for dinner, using ground turkey breast. This is one of my favorite meals, so I'm just about to go plan the rest of my day's worth of points around the 12 or so that I will be spending on the Taco Salad, which I will eat just before I head to the bar. That way I'll be full of Mexican goodness and hopefully won't have room for too much beer. I guess I'll use AP's for the beer. I'm not sure I can include 3-6 points worth of beer plus a taco salad day all into my daily points, even though obviously I'd like to. I'll see what kind of magic I can work...
I hate that WW Online doesn't give you the option of using APs before using WPA. I hate to see that 35 points dwindle!! I guess as long as I have SOME pointage left, it will be okay in the end. I guess the new plan has to be not to chip into the APs, since the WPA is there to use. I can't imagine I'd lose much using all 35 WPA plus all the APs. I used to consume every point that was left to me but I found that I was just eating to eat, and other times I'd go completely overboard.
I know this post was rambly, but it really helps me to get my thoughts together and get motivated for the rest of the week, and, hopefully a loss by Saturday!

Bri- I came here to tell you that I love your new avatar! You look beautiful in that photo.
RE: AP & WAPs, I lost my 50 pounds using most/all them every week. It can be done that way- your body *might* need all of them. The only way to know is to experiment for a few weeks and check out your results. Just don't short change yourself the nutrition if you need it. Listen to your body and your hunger levels.
xo
Thank you,Sheryl! If you look closely in that pic you can see my drunk boyfriend trying to lick my face. Ha! I cropped it as much as possible. You know, with the WPA and the APs, I have always used all of them. AND had success. All of a sudden I have become really neurotic about them and feel like I'm eating too much when I use them. At any rate, I'm going on vacation Saturday, so I KNOW I'll be using them then! We'll see what happens...
