What a stinkin' day. First, my electrician calls be back (finally) only to tell me he doesn't do work on cable wiring. Then, he tells me he doesn't know who to recommend, but it sounds to him like it's going to be a big mess. Thanks. My house is 2 years old. You can't tell me that renting doesn't have SOME benefits. C'mon! This is bullshit! I did discover what I think is a 15 year warranty on that type of stuff, but I will have to verify with my builder, and oh, it was installed by Circuit City, which is now defunct. Fuck.
Also, I'm supposed to meet with one final person at my potential new job. Yesterday I would have left the word "potential" out, as I was told that this meeting was "just a formality". I took it upon myself to email the HR recruiter to see if there was anything else I could cross off the list from an HR standpoint, and was basically shot down and told I still had to meet with this person before I was officially hired. Right then. Hopefully she just said that because she can't officially say the job is mine. She did say, "you are a strong candidate", but according to my potential new boss, the job is mine. I'm so confused. Are there other candidates? I wasn't under the impression that this was any sort of competition. Now I'm second-guessing myself all over the place.
This is not a good day.
