Personal Trainer!

Dave and I had our first appointment with a trainer at our gym yesterday. Low and behold, we ended up signing up for training sessions. His are once a week and mine are twice a week. I guess that forces me to go! The good part is that they pretty much last from now until our wedding. I can't think of a better way to get in top wedding shape!

We met with the training manager yesterday, and he kind of took us around for about 30 minutes of leg work and gauged just how out of shape we both are. Then he assigned us to Ginger, one of the other trainers. I really loved the manager guy, but I am not sure about this Ginger. But whatever, if we don't gel, there are like 7 other trainers. Not to mention classes. I am working up my nerve to go try BodyCombat tonight. From the looks of it, it's similar to kickboxing, which I used to LOVE. I'm just nervous because of my gym anxiety and the fact that I'm sore from yesterday and not entirely sure I'll be able to keep up with the pace of the class. My gym anxiety really is ridiculous though, and the people at my new gym so far are nowhere near intimidating. I don't know why I imagine that the classes will hold some secret group of hot bodied, Victoria's Secret models. But I know myself, and if I don't jump right in, I'll end up never going to the classes. As much as I'm paying for this gym and the training, I need to get every penny's worth!

I'm not working today, so the plan is to spend the rest of the afternoon tidying up our apartment (can I just put it out there to the universe that I am SICK of living in this tiny apartment, and I want us to hurry up and get our house here), then later I'll meet Dave for dinner and then head to the gym for BodyCombat. Then I need to spend some time tonight going over finances and getting all that in order. Tomorrow night I work, and I have plans to meet a friend for lunch. I'll squeeze a gym session in there at some point too. I really want to see a big loss this week! I have to work Friday night, so I guess I'll just go to WW that morning after work. That means I'll have to eat really light that night and drink plenty of water. Hopefully it doesn't throw my results on the scale!
